Along with Corcovado National Park and the Golfo Dulce Forest Preserve, Piedras Blancas forms an important biological corridor that, aside from being rich in itself, protects the great diversity of plant and wildlife species inhabiting Golfo Dulce. Visitor services include only trails and natural viewpoints.

Directions
EL BONITO SECTOR: From San José, take the Inter-American Highway to Golfito, continue to Gamba, and from there you can only continue in 4x4 to the Bonito post during the rainy season, caution should be exercised with rivers, as they swell, and crossing may be impossible, in which case you should walk to the station.
